Manitoba Curriculum

The goal of the curriculum development process is to develop curricula that compare favourably with those of other leading countries. Revisions to curricula, based on grade- and subject-specific student learning outcomes, and where applicable, standards, are complete or under development. (See the individual subject areas for information about the status of curricular development.) Student learning outcomes and standards incorporate the four foundation skill areas of literacy and communication, problem solving, human relations, and technology. The focused participation of educators, scholars, industry representatives, and other community members with relevant expertise is being called upon in a consistent curriculum development process.
